Requirements for the extension of the Hospitalization Benefit

To request an extension of the hospitalization benefit, you must meet the following requirements:

  • The baby must have been hospitalized after birth for more than 7 calendar nights.
  • Be a beneficiary of the birth and child care benefit (maternity/paternity).
  • Present the medical report from the hospital justifying the hospitalization and its duration.
  • Be affiliated and registered with Social Security, meeting the previous contribution requirements.
