Requirements to apply for the Large Family Card online

  • Be part of a family unit with at least three children (biological, adopted or in permanent foster care).
  • Families with two children can also apply if one of them has a disability equal to or greater than 33%, or in the case of widowhood with two children.
  • All members must reside together in Spain and be registered at the same address .
  • Parents or guardians must have Spanish nationality or legal residence in the country.
  • Submit the required documentation: ID/NIE of all members , family book, joint registration certificate and, where applicable, disability certificate.
  • The license must be renewed periodically (usually every 2 years or when the family situation changes).

It is an official document that certifies the recognition of a large family and allows access to discounts, bonuses and aid in education, transport, supplies and other services.

The procedure can be carried out:
✔ Online, through the Electronic Office of your Autonomous Community.
✔ In person, at the Social Services offices.
✔ By administrative mail, sending the required documentation.
